Farm Credit announces MANRRS Scholarship winners

Farm Credit and Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources and Related Sciences announced the winners of the 2022 Farm Credit/MANRRS VIP Scholarship. This year, the organization awarded 22 scholarships to help support the future generations of agriculturalist. 
This competitive academic scholarship provides special programming for outstanding MANRRS students with an expressed interest in Farm Credit. Scholarship recipients each receive a $1,000 academic scholarship, the opportunity to participate in the Farm Credit VIP track of the 2022 National MANRRS Conference, and $1,500 in travel compensation to attend the MANRRS Conference.
The VIP track provides scholars with meaningful interactions with Farm Credit leadership and exposes students to information about Farm Credit careers in fields including finance, credit, capital markets, informational technology, marketing, etc. Students benefit from leadership development and training to better prepare them to find and succeed in careers within agriculture.
The 2022 VIP Scholars included:

  • Jazmine Faulkner – University of Kentucky
  • Savannah Fleming – Tuskegee University
  • Sundus Ghuneim – University of Kentucky
  • Courtlone Glaspie – Mississippi State University
  • Kerrington Howard – Tennessee State University
  • Kaylin Hughes – Tennessee State University
  • Mark Iradukunda – University of Nebraska-Lincoln
  • Destney Johnson – Grambling State University
  • Mykah Mares – Southern University and A&M College
  • Milosh McAdoo – North Carolina A&T State University
  • Zoe McGowan – Langston University
  • Cyheim McRae – North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University
  • David Nizama Chipana – Rutgers New Brunswick
  • Faraluz Ortega – Tuskegee University
  • William Ortiz – University of Florida
  • Dale Sampson – Texas A&M University College Station
  • Taylor Thomas – North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University
  • Ivan Trujillo – Fresno State University
  • Iyahna Wilson – University of Kentucky
  • Lupe Zamora – University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

This program is a great opportunity for interaction between students and Farm Credit leaders, exposing students to different segments of Farm Credit, which includes leadership development and training to enhance students’ preparedness to enter careers in the agriculture industry.
