In an effort to enhance food production across the country, the Federal Government in collaboration with the Sokoto State Government, has commenced the distribution of farm inputs and hand tools to women in the 23 local government areas of the state.
Speaking at the inauguration of the distribution exercise on Sunday in Sokoto, the state Commissioner for Women and Children Affairs, Hajiya Kulu Sifawa, noted that the gesture was part of the federal government’s desire to engage Nigerian women in farming.
