INEDA Awards $80,000 in Scholarships to 88 Iowa and Nebraska Students

The Iowa-Nebraska Equipment Dealers Association (INEDA) partners with the Andrew Goodman Scholarship Program to award $80,000 in scholarships for the 2022-23 academic year to students interested in the equipment industry living in Iowa, Nebraska, Colorado and South Dakota.

The scholarship program serves the purpose of addressing the shortage of dealership personnel and to recruit talented students. It also eases the financial burden students may have and to guide them on their equipment industry careers.

“Making a positive impact on students and connecting them with our implementation dealers has led to many successful outcomes with our scholarship programs,” said Mark Hennessey, the president and CEO of INEDA. “Our scholarships have eased the financial pressures that students and parents face when pursuing post-secondary education. We are proudly committed to the future generations of individuals seeking careers with our dealers and the agriculture industry.”

This year’s applications were at a record-high. However, only 88 students from 30 dealers were awarded with scholarships.

“We had the largest number of applicants in the history of the program,” said Will Rogers, INEDA Director of Government Affairs. “In addition, nearly 90 scholarships were awarded to students with a grade point average of over 3.69. We are delighted to help so many students with their educational goals.”

INEDA has been awarding scholarships since 2008. Since then, 598 students have been awarded, totaling a sum of  $820,000. Those eligible must be full-time students in a “dealer-approved” higher education curriculum.
